He also is a Senior Adviser to i2 Capital and the Upper Green River Conservancy, where he focuses on developing landowner partnerships to support private sector conservation of wildlife and fishery habitat. Chopper’s rich heritage of Wyoming and his family’s generational ranching and business background in his home state have honed his understanding and knowledge of the real-estate industry from a practical standpoint.

Chopper is a member of a fourth generation Wyoming ranching family dating to the 1890’s who were among the first homesteaders in the Upper Green River Valley. A native of Pinedale, WY, Chopper is an avid rancher, ranch adviser, horseman, skier and back-country guide with deeply informed insight into the unique and overlapping economics of ranching, energy development and land stewardship. After graduating from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Agriculture Business, Chopper spent nearly two decades working in corporate finance for NCNB (now Bank of America), SunTrust Banks, and a private structured securitization firm while living in Charlotte, New York City, and Atlanta, before returning to his native Wyoming were he has achieved leadership positions in business and real estate, with a specific focus on large ranch transactions.
